Battery Testing and Certification

TÜV SÜD provides you the qualification for battery testing and auditing according to CTIA requirements.

CTIA Certification

TÜV SÜD was authorized by the CTIA (Cellular Telecommunication and Internet Association) as a CATL (CTIA Approved Test Laboratory). So we have the qualification for battery testing and auditing according to CTIA requirements and can provide high quality certification service for your Lithium ion battery system in mobile phone.

CTIA certification was the access to North America telecom operators, which requires that Rechargeable Lithium ion and lithium polymer battery system must comply with systematic assessment procedure based on battery standard IEEE1725, battery system certification requirement document (CRD) and battery program management documents (BPMD).

Rechargeable lithium battery system consists of four subsystems: Cell, Battery Pack, Host Device and Adapter. This assessment procedure requires full document auditing and product testing related to safety and  performance. In addition, cell also needs to on-site audti as key testing object of Rechargeable lithium battery system.

TÜV-BAUART mark and GS mark

  • Voluntary certification marks, guarantee of product security
  • Complying with safety assessment, testing and inspection requirement
  • Means annual audit in factory production line
  • Reducing product risks and promoting brand reputation

Mark               GS-Mark

CB Scheme Report and Certificate

TÜV SÜD is the first CB Testing Laboratory (CBTL) with the scope of safety standards of rechargeable battery authorised by IEC Conformity for Testing and Certification of Electric Equipment (IECEE) in China and also is the first CB Testing Laboratory (CBTL) with the scope of performance standards of rechargeable lithium battery in the world. Therefore, we have the qualification to issue CB test report and certificate accepted by more than 60 Member States of IECEE.

CB
CB Scheme is based on the principle of mutual recognition (reciprocal
acceptance) by IECEE members of test results for obtaining
certification or approval at national level.
Once your product achieves CB certification, it will be published in
“CB test certificate list”. Every year, new test certificate will be published
on the IECEE website as purchasing reference, to facilitate buyers to
confirm if products have complied with international standards.
