TÜV SÜD provided a comprehensive range of Third Party QA/QC services, Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) certification, and project site construction inspection services to help Clariant expand its chemicals manufacturing footprint in China, and to integrate Chinese suppliers into its global indirect procurement supply chain.

Clariant’s needs
Clariant earmarked a substantial amount of investment in China in 2008, in order to expand its manufacturing footprint in the country, and to integrate Chinese suppliers into its global indirect procurement supply chain. With these objectives in mind, four major projects, the Clariant Zhenjiang Project, the Clariant BCC Pilot Project, the Clariant Kunming Lufeng P2O5 Project and the Clariant Jade Project, were undertaken with the support of TÜV SÜD to date.

The Clariant BCC Pilot Project and the Clariant Jade Project best displayed TÜV SÜD’s suite of chemical industry inspection services as well as its expertise in the field.
