1.5 MW direct-drive permanent-magnetic wind turbine type DF82-1500 from Dongfang Electric New Energy Equipment (Hangzhou) Co.,Ltd. gets type certificate as per GL guideline from TÜV SÜD

After the successful Design Assessment and Manufacturing Evaluation in August 2011, TÜV SÜD issues the first Type Certificate as per GL guideline in China to Dongfang Electric New Energy Equipment (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. for its owning the complete intellectual property right DF82-1500 type direct-drive permanent-magnetic wind turbine.

The DF82-1500 type direct-drive permanent-magnetic wind turbine  manufactured  by Dongfang Electric New Energy Equipment (Hangzhou) Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter so called “ Dongdian New Energy”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dongfang Electric Co., LTD. (hereinafter so called “DEC”), obtained the Type Certificate as per GL guideline issued by TÜV SÜD Industrie Service GmbH (hereinafter so called “TÜV SÜD”). The certificate handover ceremony was held during the Beijing Wind Fair CWP 2011 on 20 Oct., 2011. The Certificates were delivered by Dr. Martin Webhofer, Head of Certification Body Wind Turbines, TÜV SÜD in Munich and Mr. Wolfgang Hübl, Vice President of TÜV SÜD Greater China. The Certificates were received by Mr. Zheng Beichao, head of technology development of Dongdian New Energy and Mr. Zhan Ming, General Manager of Dongdian New Energy. Senior Management witnessed the ceremony such as Mr. Can Jin, Senior Vice President of TÜV SÜD Greater China, Mr. Ernst Donislreiter, General Manager of Wind Energy at TÜV SÜD, Mr. Zhu Yuanchao, Vice President of DEC, Mr. He Jianhua, General Manager of Dongfang Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. Mr. Lan Xiangjun, Chairman of Dongdian New Energy.

TÜV SÜD provides the technical service to Dongdian New Energy for its DF82-1500 type direct-drive wind turbine, which includes design assessment, manufacturing evaluation, and assessment of prototype testing. Finally Dongdian New Energy becomes first wind turbine manufacturer who get type certificate as per GL guideline issued by TÜV SÜD in China.

TÜV SÜD, a third-party technical service company with a history of more than 140 years, is accredited by DAKKS as certified body for wind turbines and their components as well as onshore and offshore wind farms. TÜV SÜD is also authorized by BSH as an offshore wind farm certification. The type certificate not only supports Dongdian New Energy to gain entry into the overseas market and bidding for international projects, but also extend its market share in renewable energy. GL Guideline is a worldwide well-known code for certification of wind turbines, which is widely accepted due to its advantaged technology and its authority, together with IEC61400-22 Standard.
